evening,
just found your wonderful website tonight.
been a season ticket holder for three years. since last year been trying to tell anybody that would listen about the nightmare that is BS. road the tail of the true MVP last year to coach of the year.
the true judge of a coach is what happens after you get your marks. how do you become a worse team when you currently employ what will become the greatest point guard to ever play the game... BS.
what other team in the NBA starts players for 8-12 games and then sits them entirely?... Mo, JuJu, Hilton (who wouldn't even start for Memphis).
what other coach had an entire team revolt against him to the point that the refused to play?... (NJ Nets).
how do you lose a game by 58 points when you have probably the the best overall player in the game (only Lebron is in his league)... BS
you lose like that when you have a team that is so far out of control and has so little respect for who is control that there is absolutely no structure to the team.
my wife and i are very passionate about our Hornets. i believe that until we find a coach that is respected by our players that we are doomed, despite the genius that is CP. it is actually the only reason we renewed our season tickets this year. to watch the magic that is CP.
and we sit next to his parents...
today's news hurt. really hurt.

I wanted to commend you on a nice website that is dedicated to the firing of Byron Scott. He may be a good coach but not the right coach for our team. He possesses a very bad habit that you touched on, his refusal to teach,be patient and play young players such as Julian Wright.
I'm a blogger at Foxsports.com and posted a piece on how Byron Scott should be fired along with Jeff Bower who has to share in the blame with him. Both have made a huge mess of what was a promising team and quite frankly I'm pissed.
If George Shinn was sincere in his promise to bring a championship to the city and for the fans then sacrifices must be made, starting with Scott. If not then we may see what nobody who is a Hornets fan wants to see and that's Chris Paul leaving when his contract is up to play for a coach and team that knows what it takes to win.
Once again great job on the site, looking forward to returning and reading any updates to it.
Sincerely a true Hornets fan

There are good coaches...and then there is Byron Scott.
In Game 1 of the Lakers series against the Rockets, the Lakers started Ariza, Kobe, Fisher, Gasol and Bynum. The Lakers lost. Bynum had 10 points and 3 rebounds, meanwhile Odom came off the bench for 9 and 5. Neither did anything special, but the Lakers lost and they did not play with any intensity.
Phil Jackson decided something needed to be changed because his team lost and did not play well.
In Game 2 the Lakers started Odom in place of Bynum. Odum produced 7 and 11 on a team that needs rebounding (against a good rebounding team, Yao, Scola, Battier, Artest, Hayes, Landry).
Result: Laker Victory.
Scott did not make one change in the starting line up that lost by double digits in all 4 playoff loses (the first time in history a team has lost every playoff game by double digits... and the most lopsided playoff series loss IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA, which also included a 58 point home loss (tied for the worst playoff loss in NBA History.) The only change he made the entire series was benching Brown from the rotation, and sitting an injured Chandler in Game 5.
A good coach makes adjustments after one game. A bad coach doesn't make an adjustment in 5 games of the most lopsided NBA Seires ever.

Lots of talk in NOLA this week about Byron Scott. The newspaper likes him; WWL radio seems to think he should be fired. But lots of fans call in and say it is not Scott's fault; lots of comments on websites saying it is not Scott's fault.
Here is a breakdown of their reasons, which are so wrong it is hard to imagine these people are actually sportswriters or fans.
"Scott can't make open shots. The players do. Peja and Butler were 2-18 in Games 4 and 5."
So what? It is the coaches job to play the players who give the team the best chance to win. At some point you have to sit a player who is shooting that poorly. What intangibles do these players give you instead of shooting? At least Butler tries to help bring the ball up and can defend. What about Peja? Oh, he was guarding Carmelo. Please tell me this...if Peja is guarding Melo and getting beat and he's not shooting well...why is he playing? Peja is not producing points, so your next option has to be either bringing in someone to shut down Melo or score some points. Enter JuJu or Mo Pete.
Playing a guy who isn't scoring and playing a guy who can't defend against a scorer... That's a coaching decision worth at least 10 points right there. 10 POINTS IN ONE DECISION.
"Scott has no bench, which makes him play CP3 and D West too much and they get tired."
Maybe that's because our coach was not capable of producing bench players. JR Smith (bad attitude, traded). Brandon Bass (didn't listen, let go). Birdman (bad attitude, let go). JuJu (not reliable, benched). Maybe Scott should have some patience and let players grow and learn. Then we would have a bench. He also flipped Butler into the starting role and Mo Pete into the dog house for no reason...Butler deserved to play. But Mo Pete being non-existent when healthy? He was a starter- Injured - Never to be seen again. What a joke. At what point is his deicion making questioned? Bower and Scott have both acknowledged that the draft picks were largely choosen by Scott's influence... Maybe he should draft older, more mature players who he won't have this problem with. He wants to sign old vets (Posey, Peja, Mo Pete = over paid), refuses to play young players (Hilton, JuJu, JR Smith, Bass = Underpaid). And he does not realize what makes us work - the mid-level guys who work hard (Butler, D West, Pargo = Not major contract holders). These guys are mid to late 20's. Maybe drafting a 22 year old who is close to this age and cheap is the way to go.
The only reasons people want to keep Scott...are the exact reasons he should be fired.
Not to mention, his team quit in the playoffs at home....58 points, playoffs, at home....Think about it.
