FIRE BYRON SCOTT!!!

(02/18/09)

Yesterday we traded Tyson Chandler. Essentially giving up on the season. We gave up 1 of the 4 seasons we have left with CP3. Why did we make this trade? Because his salary was huge, and next season we would have to pay a luxury tax. Did we know this before the season? Why give up half way through a year? Of course we knew this before the season. George Shinn and the Hornets front office was willing to pay a luxury tax for a team that competes for a championship. They want to win. However, the season did not go as thought, and the Hornets, George Shinn, and Management were not willing to pay this kind of money for a team that clearly was not going to win a championship. Doesn't this mean the team underachieved? Underperformed?

YES.

Whose shoulders should that fall on? Byron Scott. Chandler and West have both suffered this season because teams have studied how to guard our pick 'n lob to Chandler and our pick 'n pop with West. Instead of adjusting our offense like a good coach, Byron Scott blamed his team for not playing hard enough.

The Tyson trade blame goes to Byron Scott because of his biggest flaw. He is not capable of making adjustments.

Last night we played the team Chandler was traded to. OKC....the worst city in the NBA. HICKS. Ugly hicks too. Again, we had a big lead, which dwindled away. A tie game on the road, the day of a big trade, we have fallen to 6th place, only 3 games from 9th place......we start the 4th quarter of a tie game with Bowen and Marks (2 human victory cigars....as long as Scott plays them to start the 4th, we will fit this into our updates...thank you John Hollinger.) Durant catches fire for 12 straight 4th quarter points. [SIDE NOTE: Scott did one GREAT move, which should be used an example of how dumb he is. West was on fire last night. Once Scott realized we may be in trouble, West immediately came off the bench (about 1:30 seconds into the 4th quarter.) It is amazing he does not do this more often.]

OKC scored 27 points in the 4th. All by Jeff Green and Kevin Durant. We made NO defensive adjustments. We did not even double team Durant with 15 seconds left and a 3 point lead. This from a coach who claims to be a defensive minded guy. Pathetic. Trying to give the game away.

Tyson Chandler and Chris Paul.

The final straw in the creation of this website was the 5 Hornets that took the floor to start the 4th quarter in a tie ballgame versus the defending champs, Boston. Antonio Daniels, Devin Brown, James Posey, Sean Marks and Ryan Bowen. This of course cost us the game as Coach Scott did not feel the need for a timeout or any substitutions until we were down by 12.

John Hollinger (ESPN.com) player profiles for Marks and Bowen:

"The Hornets brought Bowen back for another year at the minimum salary, as much for his positive locker-room influence as for his play on the court. He'll be at the end of the frontcourt rotation and may not even be in uniform on many nights.

Marks completed his eighth year in the New Zealand federal witness protection program, hiding out at the end of the Suns' bench while seeing only 137 minutes. He's hidden in the league for nearly a decade despite never playing more than 25 games in an NBA season, Marks signed a one-year deal with New Orleans, where he'll battle with Ryan Bowen for the right to be the Hornets' human victory cigar."

MVP Candidate CP3 sits on the bench against the defending World Champion Celtics with 7:42 remaining in the 4th quarter. It went from a tie game to a 12 point Celtic lead as CP3 enjoyed the view. No time outs were called during this stretch.
